Exhibitors Interview 2022

Duebi
Experts in jewellery creation

Mariarosaria Savarese's interview, owner.

Can you briefly introduce us your company and your production?

I am Mariarosaria Savarese, the owner of the DUEBI company which is based in Naples and was created in 2007 together with my father, who has been working in the religious sector for over 60 years. he was able to boast many collaborations with the biggest companies on our market. We work more closely with rosaries, souvenirs and some other religious items. We are specialised in customisation of products, trying to understand and satisfy our customers' needs. We also try to place alongside them many widely distributed products and many other differentiated ones, which also allow the customer to have something different from his competitors. We are a small company, but we have on our side the care and attention we put into what we do, also trying to make the customer feel cuddled, followed, satisfied before, during and after his order.

How do you consider the current situation and the perspectives of the religious articles market, after both the pandemic and the current difficult period due to the war in Ukraine?

Right now it seems like there is an awakening of the market, which is connected to both the end of the restrictions and the advent of the warm season. After a long time, people want to move around and to rediscover the freedom that existed before the pandemic, but the arrival of this war is certainly not something we wanted. First of all, because of the psychological scare we are exposed by the media, then because of the rising prices of everything, real and speculative, but also the delivery delays, due to the lack of raw materials. In short, after everything that we passed before, it just shouldn't have happened.

The third edition of "Devotio" is around the corner and its aim is that to represent a moment of restart for the entire industry. What do you expect from this exhibition?

I expect a good turnout and a lot of enthusiasm from this exhibition, mostly as a demonstration of the confidence, desire and enthusiasm for a restart. There is hope to meet those who, like me, believe in it and do not give up, despite all the difficulties.

Will you bring some novelties to “Devotio 2022”? Which ones?

We used the "empty" time we had to make many new things, find new materials and, above all, to create a new brand that we will not talk about yet. As good Neapolitans, we are superstitious. But we put a lot of effort into it and we like the result! We hope our public will like it too.
