Mosaics Sacred art
Takako Hirai was born in Kumamoto, Japan in 1975.
From 1995 until 1999 she was a student at the Hiroshima City University, where she studied Art, spcialized in painting.
From 1999 until 2002 she was active in a project 'Artist in Residence'in the city of Yoshiwa, Hiroshima.
In 2003 she began to study mosaic technique in Ravenna, where since 2005 she works and lives permanently.
She exhibits in Italy, France, Israel, Japan, Taiwan.
In 2013 her work 'Vene' was selected for the exhibition 'GAEM-Young Artists and Mosaic'at the City Art Museum of Ravenna.
The work won the Prize Orsoni and became part of the Museum's collection.
After several group exhibitions, in may 2017, the first solo exhibition 'Il Senso Segreto della Natura. Takako Hirai' was organized at the Mar.
