WORKSHOP - Non-invasive technologies for dehumidifying walls affected by rising damp

Ecodry is the first non-invasive technology in Europe that resolves causes of rising damp in masonry. It is a versatile technology with low impact, reversible, totally environmentally friendly and easy to install, without the need for building work.
Ecodry is a technology patented in Germany, which was created in 1981 and has been present in Italy for twenty years.
The company is able to work on all types of properties, from residential to monumental, for the dehumidification of civil dwellings to restoration work related to the conservation of architectural heritage such as churches and historic buildings.
The non-invasive nature of the application allows us to work delicately on masonry structures without compromising their architectural characteristics, respecting their integrity.

Alessandro Giacomello

Ecodry Italian General Director

Alessandro Giacomello has been working for Ecodry Italia since 2007, when the technology was still relatively unknown in Italy, despite the existence of some important institutional references.
Initially, he was responsible for managing the territories of the provinces of Varese and Como as Area Manager, carrying out numerous projects in both the residential and monumental sectors.
His main responsabilities included:

acquisition and retention of new customers: private, institutional, and ecclesiastical sectors;
promotion of innovative company technology;
technical consulting;
sales and contract conclusion;
after-sales service;
management and responsibility for activities in the relevant territory;
training of new agents, area manager activities;
organization and management of technical-scientific seminars in collaboration with professional associations (surveyors, architects, and engineers), also as a speaker;
participation in local trade fairs managed independently.

In 2020, he became General Manager of Ecodry Italia, as well as Sole Director and Legal Representative, thereby assuming responsability for the entire Italian territory. He coordinates local collaborators and mantains commercial relations with the German parent company Ecodry International GmbH.
Among his administrative duties there is the organization of participation in major international trade fairs such as: Salone del Restauro (Ferrara); Made Expo (Milan); KlimaHouse (Bolzano); Koinè (Vicenza )and Devotio (Bologna), the latter two being specifically focuesed on religious architecture.
This company’s activities are grounded in the promotion of technology through scientific understanding of issues related to capillary rise, forming the foundation of Ecodry Italia’s approach to solving problems concerning the care and conservation of architectural heritage.
