International Prize of Sacred Architecture 2016

The church of San Sebastian (Spain) with which Moneo won the Frate Sole Edition 2016 Award.

Rafael Moneo is the winner of the sixth edition of the International Prize of Sacred Architecture "Frate Sole", founded by Father Costantino Ruggeri. Moneo and the other four finalists will be honored at the ceremony which will take place in Pavia next October 4th, on the occasion of the feast of St. Francis of Assisi.
The Frate Sole Foundation had set up a Prize to be conferred on the architect of any Christian confession who in the course of the ten preceding years has been responsible for an ecclesiastical building of undoubted excellence.
