Exhibitors Interview 2022

Exenia
Professional lighting

Gianpaolo Sartori's interview, Specification Manager.

Can you briefly introduce us your company and your production?

Exenia is a significant player in the professional lighting sector, specialised in the production of LED lighting fixtures for indoor use, suitable for all types of installations, from residential to commercial, from museums to showrooms. A growing company, with an entrepreneurial culture solidly based on the principles of collaboration, transparency, respect, social responsibility, quality, research, innovation, sustainability, design and personalization.

Established in 2010, from the decades of experience of its founders in the lighting sector, in December 2015 Exenia became part of the Lumenpulse Group. A stimulating synergy was born within an international network of young and innovative companies that exchange complementary skills in the field of lighting, sharing the cutting-edge technology of the Canadian brand and research laboratories able to offer optical systems among the most sophisticated in the world.

In Exenia design and creativity coexist with the most advanced technologies in the lighting industry.
The excellence of a refined Italian design blends in with perfect performances and multiple finishes creating collections with a unique design, decorated with a virtually unlimited variety of colours with a natural base

The entire production process takes place inside the company, allowing the total quality control. The in-house chain and the craftsmanship know-how, of which we can find a solid tradition in Tuscany, have as a natural consequence the possibility to personalise each project in a tailor-made and exclusive manner.

How do you consider the current situation and the perspectives of the religious articles market, after both the pandemic and the current difficult period due to the war in Ukraine?

The period is complex, especially because of the implications of the two events mentioned above, both in the components supply and the consequent increase of costs of raw materials. In any case, we look with optimism to the near future as - turning especially to the new lighting in places of worship - we are finding a situation of strong awareness and desire on behalf of many parishes and curies, to improve the liturgical and prayer experience of the faithful, seeking those lighting scenarios that are able to enhance the architecture, the artistic emergencies, but above all able to underline and emphasise the spirituality that a place of prayer must be able to offer. The presence at the Devotio event was also born for this reason: to solicit the attention of those working in the sector in an area that is still little perceived as decisive in the process of liturgical renewal that has been involving all churches for some years now.

The third edition of "Devotio" is around the corner and its aim is that to represent a moment of restart for the entire industry. What do you expect from this exhibition?

Exenia has a lot of expectations from this new edition, that we have been waiting for... a long time. On the last occasion, we approached some parish priests who had an impelling need to light their churches. We also approached some other operators attending the exhibition and with them we could establish good B2B relationships. For this new event, we expect a lot of "interested visitors", both for the quality of the exhibitors and for the presence of many specialised conferences. We are the only operator in the lighting sector present at Devotio and, in our opinion, this represents an extraordinary opportunity for us to create recognition for our brand and, of course, an opportunity to create concrete business opportunities.

Will you bring some novelties to “Devotio 2022”? Which ones?

We are aware that a three-by-two-metre stand cannot reproduce the emotion that we can create in a church thanks to a skilful use of lights, and therefore at Devotio we will be bringing our new SPOT REVO 230 products. They are able to control and manage the light flow in a precise and extremely effective way. This feature is synonymous of performance, a word that can be translated into concepts of energy saving, the chance to work from great heights while maintaining high quality standards, and the possibility of creating different scenarios according to the liturgical moment and/or the time of life of the worship place. At our stand we will display some working products, which will be able to give to all those interested a deep knowledge about the subject and see the correct lighting that can be offered to any worship place.
